Important! Rules for using polypropylene containers:
We guaranty longevity of FORP™ products if they are used according to instruction and rules described below. If given rules of usage are not followed, we take no responsibility for any issues that occurred as a result.
Transport:
- The transport of reservoirs can only be carried out by transport companies that have necessary experience and necessary equipment and transport.
Temporary storage of reservoirs:
- For storage, it is necessary to find a flat site that doesn't have any sharp angles and bumps.
- For storage in horizontal it is necessary to employ wooden stopper more than 300 mm in width. The contact points with supper must be located at connections of top/bottom with cylindrical hull.
- During open-air storage, it is necessary to protect reservoirs from damage and also influence of wind load and frost.
- Reservoirs designed for installation inside building, can sustain damaged from high/low temperatures and/or sunlight when stored outside. When storing reservoirs in open-air conditions, consult with specialist of manufacturer company.
Setting into operation:
- Polymeric container can only be operated with allowed media and under allows temperature regime (according to product's Passport). The container is considered ready for operation, after installation in agreement with installation instructions and filled with necessary medium.
- Before setting into operation it must be ensured that stored medium is within product's specification, and loading temperature does not exceed by more than +5°C of working temperature of the medium.
- It is prohibited to operate damaged reservoirs, as it leads to loss of tightness and structural integrity.
Medium loaded/stored in reservoirs:
- Reservoir can only be used for medium it was designed during manufacturing. If use of purposes is require, then such must be approved by manufacturer.
- When filling/draining reservoir the medium flow must be within specification. Reservoir filling process must always be controlled.
Reservoir cleaning:
- Cleaning of reservoir must be conducted only by certified organization of qualified specialists of reservoir manufacturer.
- Before clearing, the reservoir must be completely This is of outmost importance when working with media that releases heat upon contact with water.
- In order to mitigate any heat reaction, the water must be supplied immediately and in large volumes (pipe diameter >2 inches).
- When adding water/rinsing with water, ensure that reservoir temperature does not exceed that of water by more than 20 °C.
- If water-soluble compounds or those that for emulsions with water, are present the walls of reservoir must be rinsed with water.
- Upon formation deposits, the reservoir must be filled with warm water, temperature of which does not exceed allowed working temperature by more than 10 °C. After few hours, the water must be drained. Deposit leftover are removed with wooden or plastic spatula that does not damage the surface.
- When clearing reservoirs (может быть пропущено слово НЕЛЬЗЯ (ЗАПРЕЩАЕТСЯ) в русском варианте?) it is prohibited to used metal tools, abrasives or other equipment that damaged inner layer of the container.
- Polymeric containers cleaned using chemicals appropriate for equipment from synthetic materials.
- The remains of stored medium can be removed using absorbents (for instance sawdust or diatomaceous earth).
- Depending on stored medium it is important to employ protective wear, respirator etc. up to complete body protection.
Washing of reservoirs using high pressure cleaners:
Use of high pressure cleaner is allowed if following requirements are withheld:
- Do not use narrow jets of liquid; use spraying nozzles instead.
- Do not bring spraying nozzles to thermoplastic attachment closer than 15 cm..
- The jet of spraying water should be as vertical as possible in relation to treated surface.
- The temperature of washing liquid must be within 20 °C to 50 °C.
- Nozzle pressure <150 bar.
